1960 m. Metalistas, kontrolės punktas1960 m. kontrolės punktasOn June 14, 1960,  the company, which manufactures structural bindings and furniture fittings, was founded. This date is considered the start of the plant’s existence. The first production – metal beds, structural bindings, cement blocks.

At that moment 158 workers were employed.

 

In 1961, furniture fittings production was launched. n 1962,  first fixed furniture locks were manufactured.

 

In 1964, first door locks were manufactured; the technical documentation of which was prepared at the plant. A mechanism production workshop was set up.

 

1970 m. galvalinis barasIn 1970, a galvanic workshop, one of the biggest in the Republic, was launched. The plant’s staff was closely linked with scientists of the Chemistry and Chemical Institute of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences. The galvanic workshop became sort of the Institute’s experimental workshop, where new technological processes were tested. With the help of scientists of the Polymeric Coverings Research Institute of Gomel, the technological process of overlaying elements with polymeric coating was implemented.

 

  In 1977,  the  manufacturing association Metalistas, which was made of the Molding-Mechanic Enterprise and the Siauliai File Workshop, was set up. The plant Metalistas became a holding. The association was manufacturing about 200 various products. The main production was the following: construction bindings, furniture fittings, locks, cast iron ingots and farm implements. From 1960 to 1983, 703 new technologies were implemented, which helped to reach the annual economic effect and created possibilities for 833 workers to be employed in other production spheres.  

 

In 1977, an integrated production quality management system was implemented at the plant. The highest quality category was given to 13 products. That was 25.6 per cent of all certified production.                                 Spynų gamyba                                          

In 1978, the association Metalistas established a new creative team, which annually provided and evaluated valuable streamlining suggestions.

 

In 1981, the creative team participated in the Republic Machines Manufacturers Teams’  Competition and won the first place.

 

Since 1982 at the Manufacturing Culture Exhibition among  the Companies Accountable to the Lithuanian Industry Ministry, the association Metalistas took the first place and received the name of the Production Culture Company three times.

 

In 1982 and 1983, the association Metalistas, by the decree of the Lithuanian Machines Producers Scientific Organisation took the first place among companies implementing new technology.

                                                                                                                                                                       

In 1982, the second place was awarded to the Association at the Republic Expo of Scientific-Technical Information Services and Bureaus.

 

In 1983, the workers’ number increased to 1,262.

 

In 1984,  the Association produced 6,144 tons of cast iron products. Those were furnace moldings, ovens, manhole covers. Some of the products were exported to Germany, Finland, Yugoslavia, Latvia and Estonia.

 

In 1984, the association Metalistas started working under an economical experiment, its targets were exceeded by 2.2 per cent, labour productivity increased by 3.7 per cent.

 

In 2001, the state company was purchased by the private capital company Raginenai. The state company became Raginenai UAB.

 

In December of 2005, Panevezio Metalistas UAB was purchased Raginenai UAB.

 

In June of 2007, the Company was certified as the certified supplier of Rolls-Royce diesel machinery assembly parts.

 

In December of 2007, Metalistas LT UAB successfully finished implementing the ISO 9001 quality system and the ISO 14001 environment protection system.
